The former is 23" long. It is 9" across when fully extended and 2 1/2" across when squeezed closed. It is 1" thick.
The fabric-covered spring is strong. The fabric has some soiling, but is free of holes and the hand-stitched join is intact. The wood has staining and a few dings.
The former bears a brass plaque with the words PARISIAN SLEEVE FORMER CO, CHICAGO, ILL, PATENTED NOV. 24 1925.
