Vintage Rare JCS Joint Chiefs of Staff Nuclear Division Brass/Bronze Wall Plaque

Here’s an awesome and rare JCS (Joint Chiefs of Staff) Nuclear Division Wall Plaque. This service award was presented to a Army Colonel who had retired to the Sandhills of North Carolina. The detached brass plate indicates that the  JCC (Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman) presented this plaque to Colonel Burrell on November 10, 1982. The plaque’s weight is 6 lbs. and measures approximately 10¼” x 8¾”. Judging by the weight I’m guessing that the Division’s logo was made from either brass or bronze. The logo has a diameter of 6¼” and its center features a “Nuclear Mushroom Cloud” simulating an nuclear bomb explosion. The adhesive on the back of the brass presentation plate has degraded such that it separated from the wood base of the plaque. The brass plate is included in the sale and can be reattached if desired.
